July Gulf of Mexico and Mississippi Shrimp Landings

July 2017 shrimp landings in all Gulf of Mexico States totaled 8,013 pounds which was signifcantly lower than the long-term average 12,867 pounds since 1995. During the past two decades, the Gulfwide July shrimp landings continued to decline. In Mississippi, July 2017 shrimp landings reached 638 pounds which was fewer than the long-term average 976 pounds.
