MISSISSIPPI SOUND ESTUARY PROGRAM ANNUAL REGIONAL GROSS REGIONAL PRODUCT
From the economic model of the Mississippi Sound Estuary Program (MSEP) region built in Lightcast (https://lightcast.io/), the annual trends of regional gross regional product (GRP) was developed.
The MSEP region consists of 36 Mississippi counties. The annual trends in regional GRP in the MSEP region from 2007 to present are shown below.
Gross Regional Product (GRP) measures the final market value of all goods and services produced in the region of study. GRP is the sum of total industry earnings, taxes on production & imports, and profits, less subsidies.
The gross regional product in the MSEP region reached more than $82 billion in 2023.
