MARINE DISASTER ECONOMICS ASSESSMENT OUTREACH PROGRAM

The Marine Disaster Economics Assessment Extension Program will provide information and tools for coastal communities and residents, marine, agricultural, coastal-related industries, business establishments and organizations, state and federal regulatory agencies, land grant and sea grant research and extension staff, and interested students to develop damage assessment economic models.

These models can be used to measure the direct economic impacts of disaster events on commercial fisheries landings, aquaculture and agricultural production, county gross sales, dockside and farmgate values of commercial landings, agricultural and aquaculture production.

Target Audiences:

Coastal communities and residents, marine, agricultural, coastal-related industries, business establishments and organizations, state and federal regulatory agencies, and land grant and sea grant research and extension staff, interested students.
